BravEd is our bespoke personal development programme that brings together PSHE, RSE, health, and wellbeing. BravEd is designed to support the whole student, with a strong focus on mental health, emotional wellbeing, and essential life skills.

BravEd stands for…

Your child will have the opportunity to achieve nationally recognised qualifications and gain essential life skills. Following a blended curriculum, your child will primarily focus on achieving GCSEs in English and Mathematics, alongside a range of other subjects. Accompanied by our BravEd programme which combines PSHE, RSE, health, and wellbeing to support their overall development.

Lessons are delivered online by qualified, subject-specialist teachers through our virtual classroom, using VEDAMO. With timetables, learning resources and lessons accessible through our hub on CYPHER Learning, supporting the delivery of the core 18 guided learning hours each week.

In addition to this, your child will receive a further 9 hours of structured time, which can be used for supported self-study or targeted sessions with their Community Teacher in person. Self-study is enhanced through online learning platforms such as CENTURY, allowing students to learn at their own pace and focus on areas where they need the most support.

Your child will have wraparound support, with access to our online hub which hosts their timetable, learning resources and links to their online classroom for lessons. They will be supported by subject-specialist online teachers, as well as in person 1:1 sessions with their community teacher.

Progress Community is part of Progress Schools which has 13 physical school sites nationwide. Currently, we can only support students within these areas as each community student will be registered on roll at their local Progress Schools’ school, however, will learn online and work with their community teacher either from home or within the local community.
